Epi Info modules can be opened individually by accessing the Windows Start>All Programs>Epi Info menu. When the application is installed an Epi Info icon is placed on the desktop. Double clicking the icon opens the Epi Info main menu where all programs and utilities can be accessed as well as the options to create and customize your own menu items.

Epi Info has a number of components - MakeView, Enter, Analysis, Statcalc, Nutsat,EpiMap, VisData, The Manual and Tutorials.

Epi Info™ System Requirements

Windows 98, NT 4.0, 2000 Requirements
  1. A 200-megahertz (MHz) processor (Pentium compatible or greater) is recommended but not required.
  2. 32 MB of Random Access Memory.
  3. 64 MB for Windows NT 4.0 and 2000
  4. At least 260 megabytes of free hard disk space to install; 130 megabytes after installation.
Windows XP Requirements
  • Pentium 300 megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
  • At least 260 megabytes of free hard disk space to install; 130 megabytes after installation.
NOTES
  • To install Epi Info, administrative or power user rights to the computer are required.
  • Users must be able to read and write to the Epi Info installation directory.
  • Epi Info should be installed locally on each user’s machine. Multiple users sharing the same machine can share the same installation of Epi Info.
  • Installation to a network drive is not supported.
  • In order to run the Epi Report module, Internet Explorer 5.0 or above is required. The Print Preview feature of Epi Report requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.
